The average price of a backflow assembly test varies from region to region. Some testers offer a test for under $30 and some may exceed $100. Usually, what determines the cost is if the assembly is in a place that is very difficult to get to or if it can only be tested at a special time, for example late at night or on a weekend or maybe only after special security measures have been met. Most tests are typical and shouldn't generate more than the average price. Roe Backflow Testing (RBT) offers this service for just $38.50 per assembly + tax and $43 for those in vaults or confined spaces. There are ways to reduce your costs should you have multiple assemblies on site or if you're a Contractor. For 3 or more assemblies, the cost is reduced to $35 per assembly.
